 Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to your friends all over the world who have Skype. Vonage equipment
All you need is a broadband connection (such as DSL or Cable) an Ethernet router with a spare port and a regular corded or cordless touchtone phone. Vonage provides a free phone adapter when you sign up for service through Vonage.

If you have an Ethernet modem but don’t have a router than for a small extra cost you can take advantage of Vonage's phone adapter with built in router. If you are an ADSL customer and only have a USB modem then this will need to be replaced with an ADSL modem/router. It takes less than 5 minutes to install a phone adapter or phone adapter with built in router.
