A new report shows that in general people in towns are receiving faster broadband than in rural areas - because of a range of factors including lack of access to different broadband providers, and no access to cable broadband. Additionally, the report - published by thinkbroadband.com and reported on the BBC News website - shows that while average broadband speeds in london were 4.5Mbps, in Scotland they reached an average of only 2.9Mbps, with Wales at an average of 2.6Mbps and Northern Ireland an average of only 2.3Mbps. |
